2 lbs. lobster meat (New England, not those sissy clawless things). Frozen
is OK.
2 cups white stone ground cornmeal
1 cup Velveeta

Put it all through a meat grinder and stir until thick and pasty. You can
roll up little 1/4" balls in advance and let them dry. If the fish aren't
hitting, they're good for snacking too.

I've heard about a similar recipe in which your own fingers are substituted
for the lobster meat. Of course, you'll need to find someone to roll the
dough into balls, and I wouldn't recommend snacking on them when the action
slows. As always, YMMV.

Well, it really isn't a dough, per se, but if you must coat them in
something, a little fine corn meal or flour is all you need...if you
REALLY want dough, try a bakery...or start running ads for Kerr, er
totally independent 527s...

Some bread or cornbread crumbs, well seasoned, dip trout in milk and
then flour and then the crumbs and fry in hot butter or lard until
flakey. Use small bits of the final result to attract diners to your
campsite. Failing humans, raccoons and bears will be right there.

Not bad. When the original poster asked for 'bait recipes', I was wondering
who the hell would eat their bait??

Dream up some bizarre new idea--perhaps a new theory about
developmentally disabled mayfly emergers--write a book,
join the lecture circuit and make lots of dough.

Spend a few minutes in the bathroom, get yourself an aquarium net, scoop up a few
clumps, roll into little balls. The trout will think they are chocolate malt balls.
