New Zealand----giving thought to moving to Nelson New Zealand--sort of a
last fling--the town is on Northern coast of South Island--sort of like San
Diago 30 years ago--full of sea food old english cathedral an irish
pub --surrounded by vinyards [replacing sheep farms and close where the
Motueka and Baton rivers meet--big browns without backcountry
iking] --need to move fast--the rich californianians are moving in and i
doubt i could get a small plot and house with 5 acres on the Motueka for
less than 150 thousand. QUESTION ONE-- How do I get my bride to give up
tennis five days a week with friends in Wilmington and easy acess to US
bound family ? Divoice is not an option--been thru that and cannot afford
another and this squaw is a keeper.

Didigal camera--now that prices are under 200$ thinking of replacing my
sinkable OLYMPUS --would like to have micro option to use copying pages
from books etc ant to take pictures when Jeff cathes a fish--Dave Lewis the
camera whiz on FF@ suggest the new 5 mb olumpis--help and suggestions
needed

Questin Three-- What is a REAL indian ???? Goverment has a rule--creek
indian association has a rule---census bureau has a rule ---was thinking of
answering Font when he said I was not a real indian but was reminded of a
boss many years ago when i tried to get some attention by verbulizations--he
said " I would not lower myself by arguring with you."

My squaw is away somewhere playing tennis in the rain and rather that wait
for her to type this th9nk i will have a third manhatten and hit send

Clean out the bank accounts, cash in the stocks and bonds, move to NZ and if she don't
follow, refuse to give her a divorce.

Doubt that it's legal or that it would actually work, but when ya gotta go, ya gotta
go!

Sorry I can't answer your questions, Joe, but I can tell you that when
I was a green-as-grass marine pilot, back in the early '50s, most of
the older guys in the squadron had spent WW II in the Pacific, and
more precisely, had spent R&R leaves in New Zealand. They allo said
it was like heaven on earth.

Of course, they were probably more interested in the young maidens
than the big browns; but in any case, the sea food, Irish pub and
vineyards sure sound inviting!

If you think the Bushies will win in November you should move now - US expat

I would take a look at these two sites for reference:

http://www.dpreview.com/
http://www.steves-digicams.com/

The first one, IMO, does the best reviews of cameras
anywhere, but does relatively few of them. The second
is not as good but better than most and does quite a
few of them. The first site also has forums where people
get into quirks of individual cameras.

hmm...sounds more like a reason to go than to stay. perhaps a few of
your "close" friends could assist in persuading Dene of the substantial
benefits of residence in New Zealand. <g> also, knowing Dene, she'll
have numerous friends and plenty of tennis opportunities in a more
favorable and enjoyable climate than Wilmington - without all the
bulging population and traffic problems.

5 MB is probably overkill for use on the stream unless you're planning
on printing poster size photos - and I don't think the 5 MB cameras are
below 200 yet (though there may be some). I have the Olympus 300, water
resistant. It's fine for most uses, but the controls on the back are a
bit tiny. Invest in a bigger memory card than you typically get with
the camera - a 64k at minimum, 128k is better - so you can take and
store more pictures on those long trips when you are unable to download
the photos to a computer.

You've indicated you have some part indian ancestry and, from my
personal observation and experience, you are most definitely real. good
enough for me and probably most others of reasonable or normal disposition.

He can call himself whatever the hell he wants but unless
Indians have taken to wearing hoods and sheets the so-called

Reasonable and normal doesn't include apologia for racists.
You were there and know that he doesn't limit his racial
slurs to Native American women.

I'm not apologizing for anyone - god knows if I was to apologize for everyone
that uses racial slurs it'd be more than a full time job.

But, in truth, I don't remember hearing IJ speak disparagingly about anyone,
"impolite" vernacular notwithstanding...

"I'd rather trust a countryman than a townman.
You can judge by his eyes, take a look if you can...

I'd rather trust a man who works with his hands.
He looks at you once, you know he understands...

And I need someone to believe in, someone to trust.
I need someone to believe in, someone to trust...

I'd rather trust a man who doesn't shout what he's found..."

Ah, Kennie on the half-shell! The mark of the desultory and/or deficient
reader is an unshakeable conviction that the first.....and therefore almost
certainly the ONLY.....opinion he or she has encountered (and necessarily
and always misunderstood, misconstrued, misinterpreted, and/or just plain
missed) about an issue, opinion, thing, or situation is always necessarily
and absolutely true and unequivocal.

Which explains rather nicely why the dolt STILL doesn't understand the
distinction between an elite and an elitist.

Wolfgang
or between himself and a "real" boy, for that matter. :)

Well, the 'N' word and the 'S' word are both disparaging
enough for me, "vernacular" notwithstanding. I think the
so-called "Indian Joe" is a full of **** piece of ****.
You can reasonably disagree with piece of ****, but if
you're really calling it as you see it, I don't know how
you could honestly disagree with full of ****.

And yeah, take it or leave it.

IJ seems like an OK guy to me, even though I sense he doesn't like me

Well Joe,

You'd be more than welcome here but our immigration laws are tough. Not
impossible but tough...

as far as Tennis goes.. try these places for info..

for immigration try...
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/

The rest I can't help with.

Let me know if you make it... I need an excuse to get to Nelson. I had a
fly-tying display to do there at their fly fishing club last month but the
weather closed the airport and I didn't make it, as the weather warms up
I'll have even more reason to visit that area.

McIntosh, William, Jr. (Tustunnuggee Hutke)
(1775-1825)

Coweta Creek political leader, diplomat, military leader,
and trader
Alexander McGillivray's death in 1793 created a diplomatic
void in the Creek Confederacy. Eighteen-year-old William McIntosh, Jr., a
distant relative of McGillivray's, dreamed about becoming the tribe's next
diplomat. McIntosh realized his desire for prominence when his kinsmen
selected him a micco (chief) of Coweta in 1800. After the Creek Civil War
(1813-14), McIntosh became the central diplomatic figure in the Creek
Confederacy, sparking controversy among his people as he consented to land
cessions to Georgia in the treaties of 1814, 1818, 1821, and 1825. He died
in 1825.

William McIntosh, Jr., was born in 1775, in Wetumpka,
Georgia (now Alabama). His mixed-blood lineage

Indian joe adds--I lived in Wetumpka Ala in 1936 and
found an Indian graveyard under our house--perhaps I was trotting on my
ancestors bones?

Actually I think my Scottish ancestor went to bed with an
indian princess one night--and woke up the next morning in bed with a
squaw.

Hi Joe,

The new job is heading up product development for Feather Merchants for the
NZ/Aus region. It's a great job. I will still guide at Poronui a bit because
I don't think I could bring myself to give that up.

I will be bringing Tania to the US at some point but the honeymoon awaits us
recovering from the cost of the wedding.

We've been together 9 years so we are pretty good at planning things long
term :)
