After witnessing that debacle against Ucla this morning,
(11am starts are cruel, if I'm gonna watch the Hapless
Illini, please give me enough time to get good and drunk
first), I doubt we could put up a good game of college
football against the greasy feet of North Cackalacky.

Time to send our coach back to the pros. He just can't
cut it with college kids.

Nice "blaze orange" uniforms BTW. :-) Maybe your new
coach thought it might blind the other team.....or
maybe he's just preparing for Halloween.

Ron Turner is in his 8th, and hopefully last, season.
And gawd, those hideosities look even worse on TV than
they do at Memorial Stadium.

Still, it wasn't as bad as the day the Illini wore their
orange on orange and Northwestern wore their purple on
purple. Now THAT was a game to make your eyes bleed. It
looked like the dance of the jelly beans. ;-)

<Snicker> You can tell how much I've paid attention
to Illini football since I left. :-)

not that it wasn't expected, but it was still painful to watch the
wretched tar heels have their vaunted defense (116th out of 117 div1, last
year) blown up by the wahoos of virginia.
but at least we have great looking uniforms.
