If you have a shop called "the Works" near you have a look for the "Mega
Craft Set" at 99p it contains a pack of beads, elastic ,a pack of sequins
metallic all sorts of sizes and some <1/8th bore pvc tubing all in a nice
see through wallet stuff I can use for rigs, fair enough so what do I use
the foam animal shapes google eyes and fluffy pompoms for ?

the foam animals could be used collectively in a time of crisis as a
make**** emergency float, the fluffy pompoms would help to identify your new
floats should someone else nearby have the same idea as you and

the moving google eyes you place upon your eyelids to show that you are
awake and alert whilst stealing a nap between tides

sorted.... :o)

Would you like a photo to post over the fire ? that should keep the kids
from getting burnt. I look a lot better today after 3 hours at Perch Rock
being sand blasted -15mph breeze my bum nearer 30 mph (thanks BBC-
hurricane? what hurricane? I should know better) still its fish for tea (

dab, Dab, DAb, DAB!
No I wont rise to the bait.

Off to Dungie tonite, back at 17.00 tomorrow and I'm hoping for more than
DAB.
Bass in fact.
Shelter checked, Tilly fuelled up, 4 of those bar-b-qus in a foil tin, all
warm and toasty, only fish required for a fine session.

Re the fluffy things - how about a bit of fly tying.

Good luck at Dungie I hope the wind drops for you or you could be the first
hang-glider to cross the channel unaided. Fluffy stuff not a bad idea the
dayglo colours would dub nicely on silk but my FT box is already full to
bursting (thats what you get when you shoot - less time to fish and plenty
of materials free) and I still have some UV reactive floss amazing stuff and
very effective

Back from Dungie ad have to report dab, Dab and more bloody DAB plus a
couple of small flounder and 2 even smaller whiting.
A trifle windy but tollerable.
No hang gliding though - I hate heights.
Sea was a bit rough but not too bad at about 4ft waves breaking along the
beach and the shelter was toasty..
Once agaon a trawler about 400 yds off shore and almost into the boil which
is a bass conservation area - who can I report this incident to in order to
preserve our stocks

Plenty of other anglers there and still no bass or even cod seen!
Its absolutly amazing how large a hook -4/0- a hand sized dab can swallow

Ah well better a Dab than a blank its far too windy our end herself says
I would have to be a certified L00ny to consider it I'm still getting (last
weeks) sand out of the car it blew in through the air vents and made a neat
pile in the boot thats more than enough IMO
