Currently I'm having local success with #12 - #16 Hare 'n' Copper, PT
and Prince nymphs used below a #12 bead head to get the nymphs down,
where needed. Small wets are also useful. This summer has been
unusually wet and windy up until recently, however any USA dry fly
will work down here if these current normal warmer temps continue.
Cicadas have not started as yet - again due to the weather but they
cannot be far away.
I hope you enjoy your trip.

Hope your trip goes well. As Jim siad it's been a wet and windy start to the
summer but it seems pretty settled now and the Cicadas have hit full swing
and are being targetted by the back country fish. I haven't needed to tie on
a nymph in four days of fihsing, but you've always got to have them.

Turk's tarantula's and this little fly (www.umpqua.co.nz/beetle.jpg) have
done wonders foe of late
