Houston Chron: Fishing Report 6-21-2005June 21, 2005, 11:30PMBeachfront
Surf remained small and green to sandy green under unseasonable
east/northeast wind. Tides were running at near-normal levels.
Galveston Fishing Pier reported speckled trout, Spanish mackerel and
one kingfish. The surf off Matagorda Island was good for trout during
early-morning tides. Topwater plugs, soft plastics and spoons were
effective. Small sharks were taking hooked or strung fish in some
areas.
Galveston Bay complex
Light to moderate wind improved water clarity, reported Teakwood
Marina. Deeper reefs were consistent for trout near bottom on live
shrimp and live croakers. Shell pads.....
