Making a lip Gaff

any suggestion for the handle material for a lip gaff?

thanks for your reply, should i just wrap the gaff onto the sides? any
idea how do they mount the gaff inside the pipe.?

Hi again
if at all possible try welding it on if that fails try the screw on method
u may have to weld a piec to close one end off before tapping it in.
a dye set is usually used to make a screwing on thread.

once u have sealed one end weld a hex nut in centre and then make a
coresponding thread on lip to screw onto nut
