OT Why I'm rooting for the Yankees

Don't get me wrong, I hate the Yankees. I hate their attitude, their
uniforms, their owner, their thuggish fans and especially that filthy
eyesore in the Bronx where they play. I wouldn't deign to **** on
Yankee Stadium because steaming, stinking piles of Fortenberry ****
would only improve the ambiance.

But, I hope they beat the BoSox.

I want to see the National League Wild Card stomp the **** out of
the Yankees. I want to see a low budget bunch of young overachievers
kick hell out of those high paid prima donnas.

There is a certain perverse logic to this concept, but it would only be
worth it if the Fish pummeled them four straight and I can't see that
happening.

The only AL team that I ever root for is the Red Sox and them only
because they have been my favorite team since long before the AL decided
to muck up the greatest game ever created with the DH.

That said--the Marlins are a lot of fun to watch. The play the game with
heart and a passion that is very rare in pro sports these days.

Wouldn't it be more satisfying if the hated Sox win and they don't even
make it to the World Series? Sox payroll is approximately $100 m.
Yankees payroll is approximately $180 m. Go Sox!
