Gentlemen, allow me to introduce Kerrybrook Kaylin Fortenberry.
She's seven weeks old and already smarter than the average dog. ;-)

With a last name like *that*, she can't be all THAT smart. ;-) Nice
looking dog, though. Congrats, and happy potty training.

She looks to be a bright-eyed young pup. Maybe a little timid judging
only by the photo. Socialize her with other dogs once she's had all her
shots.

They look all cute and innocent like that, so you won't kill them
when they are destroying your home and eating all of your worldly
possessions. Good luck!

LOL. I hadn't opened the link or read the other posts, but even after
reading this postI had no idea we were talking about a DOG! I was
imagining Ken had a new baby, named her "KERRY (forten)BERRY and I was
wondering how to politely mention that it might have been an
unfortunate choice of alliteration.
Man, am I relieved. :-)

After three wonderful Goldens (Charlie, Henry, and now Jenny), I can
tell you that you are in for lots of love and laughter. Oh, yeah,
almost forgot...... buy a *good* vacuum cleaner, don't wear black,
and get used to finding blonde hairs in everything. d;o)
Let the love affair begin.

Heh. At least she'll never be caught with her johnson in her hand. ;-)

Already done. One day it took her to learn to pee and poop outside.
She's a genius I tell ya.

She scored mainly 3's on her Puppy Aptitude Test. Of the six
females in her litter only one scored in the 1's and 2's
(alpha range) the other five were all 3's. So she's not an
alpha female but she's not all that timid either.
She's already signed up for puppy kindergarten which is like
obedience pre-school (or a puppy cluster**** ;-) so she'll meet
other dogs in class every week.

She is definitely a chewing machine.
Thanks for the good wishes, she should be ready to flush some
of your NoDak pheasants in the fall of 2009. If I don't royally
screw up her training that is.

Thanks Fred. Kipper the Hound passed away last October, it's been
an empty house without a dog in it.

LOL ! We call her Kaylin. Kerrybrook is for her parents. Her mom
is Ballagan Siskin (Kerry) and her dad is Millbuies Brook, hence
Kerrybrook. Kaylin is the Americanized version of the Gaelic Caelin
which means "lass" and is a tribute to her Irish lineage.

Kipper was tri-color, or as my wife always said, an equal opportunity
shedder. He had white hair for your black clothes and black hair for
your white clothes and brown all-purpose hair to enhance any wardrobe.
We've kinda missed having dog hair to clean up. ;-)

My condolences for your loss both my working Springers passed in the space
of the last year leaving me with a huge hole in my life. Until I returned
home one evening to be greeted by a 9 week old ESS puppy which has since
september eaten every plant in the back yard is manic beyond belief and
hunts at the speed of a greyhound . Good luck with the training I'm sure she
will prove a great asset and give you a few grey hairs - I get many more
and I'm up for Gandalf in the next movie.
Derek
( btw I am being railroaded at the moment towards a Black Lab puppy to act
as wifes retriever )

Although my best friends over the years have been three Brittanies and an
Irish Setter, I know that "wonderful Goldens" is a redundant expression. I'd
love to have one--- or for one of them to have me.
