I took an HTML programming class last year and was surprised to
learn that the best place to advertise your new site is in a newsgroup.

anyone who disagrees with a newsgroup post can immediately
post a response to make you look like a crook or idiot. We have
had so many of them here. It's tough to run a real business by
advertising in the same context as pornography and get-rich-quick
schemes.

Everyone knows that the best fishing shirt is one you wore to
work last year.
