Greetings,

Recently attended a fly casting comp and am keen to continue with the
ultimate aim of improving casting and accuracy.

What I would like to know is what people think is a good rod, reel & line
combo for international rules fly casting competition.

I currently use a 7-wt rod but notice nearly everyone is using heavier
equipment.

thanks in advance

Cheers

I'm very novice at casting, but I understand that the longer and
heavier the rod and fly line, the longer the cast. The guys with spey
rods can do _very_ long casts.

Check out the rules. I'm sure they have some limitations on rods and
lines. Try getting one of the longest and heaviest of everything
allowed.

Only a fool would refuse to believe in luck. Only a damn fool would rely on it.
