Bought an old book today "The handbook for fishermen" by Harvey Torbett,
published in 1964
This paragraugh was taken from a chapter on "method and tactics" regarding
sea fishing.
"For the complete novice sea fishing probobly provides a simpler path to
moderate success than any other branch of the sport. Despite the large and
ever growing number of anglers sea fishing, the sea is so vast that fish are
not much affected by overfishing"
How things have changed in thirty years.
Today the Sea angler will blank, whilst the course fisherman will pull
200lb of fish out of a carp puddle.
