Salmon in Ireland

[Skipper]

The salmon season reopens in parts of Ireland on 1st January. Can anybody
recommend any good spots around Dublin that fish well at that time.
Alternatively, does anybody know of a good web resource / tackle dealer that
can point me in the right direction.

Down in Wexford the season doesn't reopen until 10th March and my Spey rod
is getting twitchy already!

Ist January is a Bit Early !

Main " spring run " on most rivers do not start Until late Mrch

However , ( Assuming there is some rain over Xmas ?) Mill Pool ( worm)
Washstones /Sea pool on River Drowes
is renowned for producing the Ist Salmon of Year in Ireland ?
