I got a nice shimano exage STC telescopic 6 foot model from my local tackle
shop - I'm pretty sure there are longer models in the range..
My 6 footer was about £45.

Hi Dave,
I have a Shakespeare Mustang 3m tele that you could borrow.
7 section, casting weight 30-60 grams, (1-2.1 oz) and although the
casting weight is outside of your spec it will throw out a small Mepps
pretty well, (cos that's what I use it for :-) Collapses to about 2ft
long
Any good to you as a stop gap?
BTW do you still want to donate that rod and reel to my nephew that we
talked about last year? We never did meet up after that first outing at
Darlow!

You're asking a lot there Dave. my pals rod rated to cast 8 to 30
grammes could only go down to a No 2 Mepps.

Sorry, but telescopics are horible things. I bought a Shimano STS, six
piece, great rod.
