As far as I'm aware it's a universal ban where migratory fish and
brown trout are concerned, but Sunday fishing for other species is
subject to individual fishery rules. There are certainly some
still-water rainbow trout fisheries that open on Sunday.

Depends where you are and what you are fishing for. Around these parts
there are quite often people fishing on a Sun.

The rules in Scotland is that only non migratory fish can be caught on
sunday ie all exept sea trout and salmon

The rules in Scotland "is" different depending where you are. There are
places where you would be lifted for fishing for brown trout on a
Sunday. It's like asking "What time are the shops open in England?"
Scotland is a big place with varying attitudes throughout the country.
The only way to find out for sure is to ask in the local area.
