Hi all

This weekend I found the water at my favorite lake clear
and the bass cruising around in schools of 3. I threw everything
in the tackle box and they wouldn't touch a thing.

Finally with a half an hour left I decided to pinch the tail off
of a 7.5 inch powerworm. Using a 1/0 Owner hook and no
weight the worm would fall horizontally.

I ended up landing 5 - 12 to 14 inch bass in a half an hour. It
was pretty cool watching them inhale the worm as it fell.

Happy Fishing

If you see bass cruisng like that you can usually cathc some by just
dropping the worm a ways infront of them.

Sometimes you will get one who comes and looks, but does not hit. You can
often get a reaction strike by moving it a short distance away from him and
letting it drop again.

If they are spooking away from the boat though you won't get any of them.

I did just that fishing back waters a couple weekends ago using 1/8 and
1/16th oz worm weights NOT PEGGED witha 2/0 Tru Turn hook and a 7" green
Zoom worm.
