Anyone have any idea at what depths one could expect to find lake
trout in Algonquin this time of year???

You should still be able to catch them shallow (water depth < 20 ft) in
early morning and dusk. Troll a spoon far behind the canoe - use lots of
line. You can also long line as you cross a lake. The fish will be up high
in the water column even if the water is deep.
Later, I'd hit transitions 20-40 ft. We like to jig for these fish. (drift a
twister up or down a slope with the wind)

Hey thanks John, will do. You don't happen to know whether there
actually are lakers in Shirley Lake do you? I've heard Dickson and
LaVieille are where it's at but I only have a couple of days.
