Skipjacks can be caught at the Cincinnati Public Landing right
behind the Showboat. They are averaging around 5 inches. Larger
ones were caught with jigs tipped with meal or wax worms. The Sabiki
rigs does a good job getting 2 or moe on a cast . The skipjacks are
there in larger numbers
around sun rise. Since it is cool the past couple days I caught them
up till noon time. When the river clears up and gets down to pool
stage they should be even more of them feeding in that area. You
may be able to cast for gizzard shad at the boat ramp when the river
gets around 27 ft. Cast between the concret ramp walls that way you
won't get your net snagged up. Tight lines to all NLCATFISH
