Okay, yesterday, no less than 8 folks including my bride told me to go
fishing. Piece of cake, I'll head up to the Black Hills. Small water
that I can wade, catch some pretty trout. Oopsy, in talking to the
camp ground owners (even at the base in Rapid City), this is the week
before Sturgis and its the 70th anniversary. They're expecting a half
a million folks to start pouring in and if you don't have a camping
spot reserved (and there are no reservations left), fugetabotit.

I would like to leave Tuesday, comeback the following Monday and go
somewhere I can catch decent brown trout whilst wading. No giant
rivers please. Within about 650 miles of Omaha.
Any ideas?

By gosh, after years of fighting a painful shoulder I do believe the
arthroscopy on my right shoulder last Monday may have done the trick. Had
a post op sit down with my bone mechanic yesterday. He showed me some
color pictures he took inside my shoulder joint. Apparently he did some
serious cutting and grinding to smooth things out in there..whatever he
did it worked. Test casted a new 4 wt St Croix rod yesterday and no pain
whatever and the dang shoulder ain't even healed yet. The real test comes
this weekend when I get back on the water and cast my smallmouth rods
long enough to see how it goes. Docs advise was "if it don't hurt do it,
and if it hurts don't do it and keep up with those excersizes". Things
are looking up...

Frank Sr
...who suppose this means I have to get off the drugs now..(sigh)

Hy. I've just experienced a new fishing destination in Romania. I'm
very excited about everything that i've found there; besides clean
fresh air, they have everything from accommodation, huge fishing
lakes, lodges, animal farms and interesting places where you can
develop fun activities.

The accommodation services are excellent: big relaxing rooms, well
equippted and with very good view, a large living-room, a dinning-room
and a fully-fitted kitchen.

The fish farm fits into the "Eco fishing" program so it's the best
place for "a catch". The main pond is very spread and has a small
variety of popular species of fish besides the trout farm. I have to
say that the average weight is about 2 kg, but I saw with my own eyes
that it can get up to 15 kg. So this lake fits for all kind of people:
avid and experienced fishermans, amateur or people who are just
seeking for a good time.

But if you are looking for something else besides fishing you can
experience the natural way of animal farming, you can lay back on the
courtyard and wacth the evening lake that hosts wild birds, or you can
take o tour of the vineyard ( that is exceltent I have to add).

I hope I got your attention because this place certainly got mine and
i'm sure it's something i'll not forget very soon. Considering the low
prices, I'm already planning to go back next year.
I'm particularly interested in the EcoTrax soles, and how well they
work, but feedback on any of their models is appreciated (not the wet-
wading shoes, though. I need all-season boots). Not afraid to spend a
bit...my last two pairs of "cheaper will be fine" models blew out WAY
too soon to be economically justifiable again.
