Why buy a Shilton Reel, When for a very similar amount you could buy an
Abel or Tibor Reel MADE IN THE USA with a lifetime warranty. Both
Companies who have the highest IGFA record counts. And who you know will
be around in 5 years. Because they are the oldest modern reel makers in
the world. For more information on Tibor or Abel reels please see:

"Meanwhile, those unraked leaves of slackers will freeze and
form a hard crust and kill the grass. In the spring, they'll
seed and lay sod but grass will never grow there again, due
to powerful toxins created by unraked leaves, and as a result
those homes will lose half their value and the non-rakers will
go bankrupt. They will lie awake at night, thinking, "Why? Why
did I not rake those leaves when my neighbors raked theirs?"
It was the romanticism of autumn, the need to be unique and to
march to your own drummer. Too late now. Those families will
be forced to migrate south and pick cotton and live in shotgun
shacks and eat biscuits and gravy with hubcaps for plates and
be tormented by red-eyed evangelists and banjo-picking albinos
and clouds of horseflies and cottonmouth snakes slithering
into the bedroom at night.

"We don't have poisonous snakes up north, not during winter,
nor horseflies to trouble us, and so we focus on what is
important. Preserving the Union. Husbandry. Gladness of heart.
Snow shoveling. The sheer satisfaction of it. We're fine up
north. It's you Southerners we're worried about."

LOL !! I was already planning to rake leaves today. ;-)

I fished all today in Randy's back seat

Now he claims he beat me, but his one fish over me he caught from the
bank, while I was teaching him,, now does that fish count ? I say no,
because he was on the bank, and not in the boat.

I told him a tie was just as good as a win, because he is the first to
do that, but he still wants to claim a win.

It was a terrible day on Guntersville Lake, a cold front hit about the
time we got the boats in the water, but it was the most fun I have had
in ages on the water. There was nothing caught out in a main lake with
any lures or technique

The fish we did catch were caught in the protected slue the boat ramp
was in. the only lure that caught fish was a wiggled fluke.

Randy Howell is a first class act, I was impressed, look for him in the
top 10 at the upcoming B.A.S.S. Classic in a couple months, after
today, he may even be first :-)
him this...

" " " They are a rather odd bunch, cabin fever is setting in pretty early
calling each other all sorts of names, threatening to mutate each others DNA
and end their heritage, but all in all, they are not bad. When they finally
consent to talk about fishing, they have a wealth of knowledge and there is
not a single person amongst them I would not feel honored to fish with and I
have felt more honored more often than I deserve..." " "
