My wish list includes Eagle, Chambers, Hazel, Snowbird, Santeetlah, Nantahala (good when you absolutely, positively HAVE to catch a fish), Kimsey Creek, and Buck Creek. I know it's true that fish move from the lake into the streams in the fall. Just a matter of getting there fustest with the mostest. Or something like that. Bob |

If you are camping, and don't want primitive camping, i'd suggest the campgrounds over around joyce kilmer as a better and closer alternative. if you are simply motel-ing, the metropolis of robbinsville would probably be a better spot to stay. fontana village has little cabins (dam workers old residences), a motel, and some camping - a bit too "touristy" for my tastes. i think its also a bit crowded at times, esp. with yawing children. anyway, let me know if i can help. as i said, mark, wayno, and walt might also have some suggestions. jeff o.k., at your suggestion, i have revised my accommodations. gonna be stayin in a motel in robbinsville. the dates are still the same. thanks for the heads up, jeff- *much* appreciated. snake |
