Mike, I just checked Ken's first reply to you. He gave some good
advice because he has fished the ponds that the OP will fish. Ken was
neither sharp or unkind to you. He was matter-of-fact and polite in
his words.

Your reply to him was nasty, insulting, arrogant, and written with
glee. Why is that? He didn't disagree with you. You disagreed with
him. Yet you jump in his **** like the mad man you have become.

Pathetic, Mike. Go back and read the orginal post, Fortenberry's
answer and his reply to you, and then your first reply to Fortenberry.
He gave his opinion, without name calling, without insulting anyone.
You otoh, well....... read it yourself.

Why can't you take criticism? You are a little man, Mike. That's
why. You have nothing going for you in your pathetic little life so
you get a feud going with Ken (and now me and Richard) just like you
did with Gehrke. Gehrke may have been an asshole, but he knew a
helluva lot about flyfishing, and *that* is presisicely why you hated
him. Even in his death he still gets to you. How pathetic to be
obsessed with a dead man. If only you will treat me so. I will LOVE
it!

I hope the OP takes Fortenberry's adivce (or mine by calling Walt
Winter) because Ken knows what the op will be using and for what, and
has fished that way *successfully* for many years. OTOH, all we have
from you is one skunk in Denmark. Glad I didn't fly over for that
"fishing experience." I mean, I can get skunked right here; I don't
need to fly to Germany and then drive to Denmark for a skunking.

Also,I didn´t "skunk" in Denmark, quite a few others did, indeed, all
but myself and one other guy, which was most unfortunate, and I would
rather the others had caught something, than caught something myself,
and your really pathetic attempt to use such a thing as an insult and
a jibe, says a very great deal about your total lack of character,and
fishing camaraderie. But we already knew that of course.

Now, I can´t say it´s been pleasant, but I really must get on. Find

as well?

I don´t need to go back and read anything at all, my memory is
absolutely excellent, so is my English comprehension. So is my
knowledge of fly-lines, and most especially shooting heads.

Fortenberry is a fatuous vindictive clown, and you are an idiot. So
what else is new? You are also a boring stupid old fart, too
egocentric, ignorant, and full of your sense of self-importance to
think straight, or to see and accept the obvious.

If you had not gone to considerable trouble to insult and provoke me,
for no good reason, I might even feel sorry for you. As it is, I feel
nothing but contempt, and even conversing with you at this distance
makes me feel somehow unclean.

Unfortunately, even my quite extensive vocabulary is often strained to
its utmost when attempting to find suitable descriptions for some of
the denizens here, and their silly and outrageous behaviour.

What I find pathetic in this particular case, is your blanket use of
various tactics, like ridicule, words with more than three syllables,
( which you are well aware is totally unfair to those who only
actually know a few with two, and can´t even string those together
properly, or decipher them either, with any marked degree of
accuracy).

Also, a conversation I had with you, quite some years ago now, comes
to mind, You were going to at least try to educate some of these
assholes. Nobody really expected you to change them into something
resembling sensible human beings, after all, an asshole by any other
name............

However, even after all this time and apparent effort ( 18,000
posts !!! Don´t you sleep much? ), what do we have? A bunch of
STUPID assholes. They are not one whit cleverer than when you
started.

I consider this pathetic. Understandable, unfortunate, unavoidable,
unpleasant, unconscionable, undeserved, and unjust. But still
pathetic. Also, as I already remarked, your selectivity has
deteriorated very considerably as well.

Indeed, one gets the impression that you have failed miserably in your
quest to raise either the tone, or the IQ of this NG, but the attempt
has affected you adversely, and that is just pathetic.

Actually I dribble quite well, thank you. Not as well as my
grandsons, but I can shoot pretty well, but again, not as well as
they. Of course they've been to basketball camp and played on varsity
in high school, and it has been more than 50 years since I was in high
school. I could go on and on about my dribbling, but I'll save it for
another day. Wot?

Oh, you mean like a good bass taper for his fly rod fishing in small
ponds in Fortenberry's neighborhood, the same type of equipment
Fortenberry uses *SUCCESSFULLY*. That is what is bothering you, isn't
it, Mike? Fortenberry is a successful flyfisherman, as was Gehrke.
