Wolfgang o.k. now, boys and girls, who can name a u.s. president in living memory who was not guilty (and let us not confuse facts with legal niceties) of a felony......or a dozen or hundred? Harry S. Truman and James Carter should both fit into that category. Harry Truman ordered the use of nuclear weapons against a couple hundred thousand civilians......but then, I guess it's going to be hard to convince you that vaporizing large numbers of children is anything other than a good old fashioned barbecue. As for Mr. Carter.....well, his case is not quite so clear. We may have to wait for declassification. Wolfgang |

While Truman did, indeed, order the use of nuclear weapons, this did not constitute the felony which was the heart of your original question. You established the category and I answered accurately and knowing full well that you would rise to the bait and bring up Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And just in passing, vaporized children are hardly substantial fare at a barbeque. By definition they are not present in a coporeal form. I just love your predictability. Thanks for making my day a bit more enjoyable. Shall I loan you the short sword? -- Stev Lenon 91B20 '68-'69 Drowning flies to Darkstar http://web.tampabay.rr.com/stevglo/i...age92kword.htm |
