No, not really. While the typical top-poster is clueless and stupid and

are better described as lazy, inconsiderate and pertinacious.

yup...excellent. and you haven't even met rachel yet. she agrees,
except for that pertinacious thing...she was unsure of its meaning
initially, but once i read the definition to her, she said, and i quote:
"damn, he nailed your ass."

btw...is bush's tie vibrating on anybody else's tv screen... talk
about a pertinacious prick.

actually, i agree i'm stupid and clueless, perhaps lazy, rarely
inconsiderate, definitely pertinacious. your scale of lazy and
inconsiderate is very different than mine...but, it does make for
interesting reading...

Hi Jeff and Ken,
I usually think about snipping too much, or not enough. But I certainly
excelled in the latter category yesterday. :)
In my defense, heck there is no defense, I'm apparently clueless and stupid.

Personally I thought the President's Q&A was quite informative (in a totally
humiliating way).

He was as scary tonight as I've ever seen him. He is obviously distraught,
disoriented and fearful. Poor thing, he means well, and I truly believe
that, but he is in WAY over his head and he's finally beginning to realize
it. When the Commander in Chief is discombobulated, be afraid.

Fox News thought he did great. :-)

I didn't watch the press conference because I can't bear to listen to
him, much less watch him. I did read the text on the Web.

He doesn't mean well for the country as a whole. He means well for the
plutocracy he represents. He's an evil liar.

I never felt sorry for his father, as I thought he was a conniving CIA
head type even as president, but I credited him with intelligence, if
not with any understanding of Americans who earn less than $200,000 to
$2,000,000 a year. The past couple of years, my sympathy for him has
increased enormously. What must it be like to produce a child so
publicly ignorant? So dedicated to continuing in paths proven to lead
to further destruction? I'd bet he sometimes sits around the house
with Barbara and says, "Damn, why didn't we just give that boy all the
cocaine his nose could stand and lock him in his room?"

I lived on the Lamar River, have fished every friggin' foot of it
from the Mirror Plateau to the confluence of the Yellowstone and,
stories from Canuckian guides notwithstanding, I have NEVER found
it necessary to make a 65' cast to catch a fish. That's silly.

Having said that, I can cast a 5WF farther than a 5DT with the
same fly rod and I think that's why some recommend WF lines to
beginners. I no longer buy anything but DT.

Mike Regarding the trend towards WF lines, I think you are right, but
Mike I have never seen any point to it. In my opinion it is mainly
Mike marketing and profit oriented thinking which causes
Mike manufacturers to sell so many in the first place. Advertising,
Mike and a large number of misconceptions does the rest.

Using a WF is a fast and easy solution for people who don't want to
play around with shooting heads (and attaching them to running lines).
