which, would seem to be, that Mark should be judged upon his writings here.
Further, he should be judged on a very tiny slice of his writings here. Now, if
we are to apply
Ken's rule of judgement to say, Ken's own choices of words over the past
decade, what do you think the general consensus should be?
Now, when it comes to actual fishing, it would seem to me that quite a few
anglers who I respect greatly seem to relish fishing with Mark. That, Ken,
would seem to me to be the true mark(no bad pun intended) of the man.
Back to the ATV posts, FWIW.....aren't people allowed mistakes,errors in
judgement? A very superficial search of this issue turns up one instance of
questionable judgement by Mark. You, on the other hand, are working on a decade
of establishing yourself as an arrogant, divisive,elitist twit. For you to cast
stones at anyone on ROFF is an exercise in pure idiocy. I dare say few people
have given up posting to ROFF over anything Mark Bowen posted. OTOH, I have
lost count of the folks who have let me know they no longer bother with ROFF
because Fortenberry is an asshole. Go ahead, plow forward with your quest
toward pariah status. As much as you step on your own dick, it must resemble a
ribbon at this juncture.

proven yourself to be a vicious, sanctimonious, obsessive, vile, human being
who is bereft of a sense of humor. i have watched as you alienate even
those who were once allied with you. i recall posts from wayno and others
who insisted that, in spite of your on-line persona, you are really a nice
man and are great to fish with. i have read this defense on a few
occasions. in spite of urging on the part of some folks for a show of self
restraint on your part, you have persisted to the point of alienating one of
your last defenders. i say that considering the attempt on wayno's part to
hang in there with you, the above stated remarks are just plain vicious,
unimaginative, and way out of line- and reflect the refusal of introspection
on your part. now i do not for one millionth of a second entertain the
silly notion that you care what i think, but it had to be said.
i gain no satisfaction from the deterioration of your relationship with
various folks on roff- as it is never pleasant to be witness to such a
meltdown, and i never like to see friends of mine hurt or disappointed.
i just hope that you might make the effort at a little introspection.
