Ain't you got a cabin up there yet?

Nope, would like to have one but it's 6 hours from indy and the past four -
five years have been a little tougher financially. But my daughter is
finally through school and the wife is basically healed, maybe in a couple
of years.

Don't do it! The money you would tie up in a cabin on the water
will pay for lots of rentals, and then somebody else will have to
cut the grass, rake the leaves, trap the mice, carry out the trash,
paint the shutters, clean the eaves, maintain the septic system,
etc., etc., etc., which will leave ever so much more time for you
to fish and drink.

Kevin,
who has priorities.

The Bougle, loaded with a DT 5wt, is currently the reel I use on that

nice
little bamboo rod that was wrested from the clutches of The Ulcerous Dwarf
of Pahrump and raffled to yours truly at "Penns 2003: Return of the Son of
the Biblical Flood". (A great clave, BTW). I would need a nice reel with
the same (small) foot size as the reel seat on said rod does not accept

all
reel foot sizes. If the replacement reel could sound less like an

amplified
jake brake on an unlubricated 1962 Peterbilt, so much the better.

Whatchagot?

Sorry to post this on the newsgroup but for some reason my mail link is not
working.

I've got a few reels that would work nice on that cane rod. Problem is
parting with them. IMO a cane rod needs a classic style reel, either a Von
Hoff style, Akron Pflueger (wish I could get my hands on one), or a
Hardy/CFO. I've got a Ross San Miguel that would not look bad on it but it's
not classic if you're so inclined.

FWIW, I've got a couple of Ross San Miguel's and they are as smooth and quiet
as any reel I have tried.

I really liked that first camp ground south of 72 on the South Branch
(Canoe something). And the water upstream from there through the Mason
Tract is...

that would be the Canoe Campground ;)

That's the one! Nice spot.

Let me know when you want to go up again, if I can get free I might just
join up with ya.

Just as long as we leave Wolfgang out of it....

:-)
