Singapore?
"magdave" wrote in message ... Riverman, I've been to Singapore and to its only fly fishing shop. It's Coho FishingTackle, located at 14 Bali Lane. A nice little place with friendly staff. You can email then at . Tell Michael Boey that Dave from Seattle sent you. I bought a 4wt large arbor reel from them a couple of winters ago. If you show them how to tie one or two of your favorite flies, you'll make some quick friends. Sal****er fishing is the deal there, and Coho does guide service even to Australia. Email them and get the lowdown. And it can get a tad warm in Singapore. Just dress light, and you'll be fine. --Dave Thanks for the info, Dave. What else can you tell me about life in Sinagpore...is it as 'clean and sterile' as I hear rumors of? Will an outdoorsy guy like me find opportunities to get into the countryside for some camping, etc, or is China just so populated that it will be endless urban sprawl for hundreds of miles? I'm considering moving there for 3-5 years...am I nuts? --riverman |

I mean, going from a country of chaos and disorder to a city-state of stability and complete control. Hell, next thing ya know, he's gonna give up flyfishin' because it's not a proper manner for which to honor trout! Mark |

Sure you aren't thinking of Shanghai, or are you just including all of Indochina in China? Singapore has a Disney-like enforced niceness that you might find oppressive, but I was only there a short while and it didn't bother me. Cross over into Malaysia, though, and it's all rock and roll. g -- Charlie... |
