I looked at line strippers a while back, then I stopped wasting money on
silicone implanted, oh wait. You mean fishing line strippers. Geez, I've
been using drill motors for years to do that. Stick an old pencil in the
chuck and toss it when it weighs about 4-5#'s. What is the advantage, other
than fitting in your tackle box, of the Berkley
one?

It doubles as a hook sharpener and triples as a way to scoop up spaghetti.

Similarly, I chuck an empty bulk line spool on threaded rod up in a cordless
drill. I'm still searching for the ideal cluch washer so I don't wrap a rod
tip around the spool someday. FWIW, I'm too lazy to take the line out of
the guides. I despool directly off the reel & leave some backing on and I
haven't munched one yet, in ten years.

The best line striper is made from a 16 Oz plastic drink bottle.

Here is how you make it

take the cap from the bottle, and drill a 1/4 inch hole in the center

Put a 1/4 inch by 1 inch bolt in the hole, from the inside out, put a nut
on the bolt and tighten. Screw the cap on a drink bottle, chuck the bolt
into your drill.

It takes less than 30 sec to strip a reel on to the bottle, when the
bottle is full toss it away, and use another bottle,, just keep the cap in
your tackle box, it will last for many, many years

a recliner with a few handy oat sodas.

But, lemme tell you about the time I took a cordless sawzall fishing
(brushpiles:).
