Well, actually it was inevitable. It was the ex-Cub factor, the Yankees
have five ex-Cubs to the Red Sox' two.

The Red Sox have only Bill Mueller and Mark Bellhorn, the Yankees on the
other hand had Miguel Cairo, Flash Gordon, Jon Lieber, Kenny Lofton and
Felix Heredia. Five ex-Cubs is waaaaaaaay too much bad baseball karma
to overcome even for the evil empire.

I might be wrong but the cards have Womack and I don't think anyone
else, the stro's have no one that I can think of as an ex-cub. (if
wrong I think I will be shortly corrected). Further proof that the sox
be screwed starting this Saturday.

We've already gotten together and decided: The Sox will give the (insert
minor league team name here) a three game advantage. Then, in a
miraculous 4-game stride, including several extra inning games, will
snatch away the assured Series victory. Hey, don't screw with a
successful formula, says I.
