Didn't that bet have something to do with the Madison and 7X? I'll buy you a beer for every fish of any size you land in the Madison on 7X (no barbs). You buy me a Sierra Nevada if you land fewer than four fish all day on 7X. I might be wrong, and I sure don't have any experience with 7X in the Madison. 3X, yeah. bruce h At Penns in '03, Warren and I had a chat about East vs. West and you guys go big out there. Dumb trout or what? Peter turn mailhot into hotmail to reply Visit The Streamer Page at http://www.mountaincable.net/~pcharl...ers/index.html |

Willi We'll see -- you don't think that there aren't big fish and heavy current out this way? It's not a fair, test. 7x might be appropriate, however, in the braided-current water in Yellowstone Park -- to get a decent drift. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |

I made an offer of dinner and drinks for Peter (not a bet) but I'll make a bet with you. Next time we go fishing together, you use 7X. I'll give you $10 for every fish over 18" you land in a couple minutes and you give me a buck for each fish you break off. Willi |
