Weather dot com reports average highs of 63 and lows of 42 for the month of
April, based on yearly figures.

This is during prime time for northward excursions in search of the giant
morel. However, due to technicalities, legalities and other formal matters
which I am not at liberty to discuss at the moment, all of this years major
treks are in a state of limbo as far as the spring is concerned. However,
the future's so bright I have to wear shades.

One or two day jaunts are all systems go for the nonce.

Smallmouth fishing would be fair to middling, with action on the somewhat
slow side due to water temps. Expectations of largish fish moving in for
spawn are realistic. Expeditions could be mounted southward to other
streams, quiet floats in the big holes locally with the possibility of
excellent results in the southwestern portion of the state at some reclaimed
strip mines...hundreds of ponds.

All things important are not remote from where Buddha sits.

I did notice though some strange growth around my house. Little green

and it appears they are coming right up out of the ground - no doubt

the depths of hell itself.

And the tundra is changing...no doubt soon it will be man and machine in
battle with the alien fauna.
