Off the banks!
Being on the water is one of the 'free-est' (is that a word?) feelings
in the world. It doesn't matter if it's a kayak/canoe, a 12' Grumman w/a 10 hp Merc (thanks Dad) or a 40' sportfisherman. Heck, I even feel great floating around in a 4' innertube! |

Hey Henry Check the charge on those batteries now so you arent surprised on your first fishing trip. Need to keep them topped up, especially over the winter months. Look on the Lowrance site for the tutorials....some good instruction on fish finders there Best luck to you Steve Thanks, I am working on that. I already owned a 2 amp trickle charger, and had always been told that a slow charge was easier on batteries, but I've read info recommending about 10 amps on an automatic charger, and the seller kicked one of these into the deal. I'll check out the Lowrance site. :) |

Totally cool. Why not post a picture of your new fishing boat over in ABPF.
I love small fishing boats as much as big ones. Bob La Londe www.YumaBassMan.com "Henry Hefner" wrote in message ... Well, even a poor man gets a break now and then. I just purchased a used 10' plastic puddle jumper so I can get off the banks. It's seen some use, so I'll have to give it a little TLC, but it came with a trolling motor, 2 deep cycle batteries, casting deck, trailer, fish finder and a live well, so I hope to have more chances to put my ROFB education to use this year. Never used a finder before, (it's an Eagle Cuda 168) so my guess is my first couple of trips will be a lot more learning than fishing. |

A previous owner used it for duck hunting and did some freehand camo painting. So if I took a pic against the trees, you would just see a trailer wheel and a trolling motor! |
