You forgot trout fishing. ;-)

This is true, but I don't do much trout fishing any more. I used to, about
15 years ago, but then again, I lived on a trout stream and would come home
from work in the morning (I worked the night shift), put on hip boots, catch
a couple 9 - 10 inch brook trout and have them for breakfast before going to
bed. :-)

The bigger ones I'd release.

I lived in a rented house trailer on Lake Guntersville
in Alabama some ... whoa ... 30 years ago now. I worked
swing shift at a textile factory spinning polyester. I
fished with the first fly rod I ever bought for myself,
a cheap old Garcia Conolon 8' 7wt from Service Merchandise
and one of my dad's hand-me-down Pflueger Medalist reels.

I caught a lot of bass in those days, kept the fly rod in
the back seat year round, just in case. Caught a lot of
bluegill too, I wasn't smart enough back then to know that
you don't fish for bluegill with a 7wt. ;-)
