Hey Shred,
You mentioned yaking out this way. If you want I'll be glad to show you a
few stretches of river via bass boat or jon boat depending on which stretch.
Then you will have a little more solid base to plan a yak trip in the
future. Call or e-mail if you want so I can let you know when I can get
away and I'm not already fishing a tourney or with somebody else.

Thanks Bob. Now if I only had more time.
Thanks for the generous invite.

Why did I not have my net with me?
Because I AM AN IDIOT!

Just a very faint "tap" "tap"...set the hook!...
OMG, she rolled up to my kayak quickly and my adrenaline went off the
charts.
I knew she was "fresh" and kind of in a daze so I wanted to grab her lip
quick before she woke up.
NOPE! The hook pulled off the jaw and grabbing her slippery tail was of no
use.

This was my personal best. Big black/grey back, super wide mouth and body.
I have caught 9 and 10 pounders in there and this bass had them beat by at
least 4 pounds.

WOW!

Now, my net will be near me at ALL TIMES!!!
Fall is my best time for big bass.

This one broke my heart.

I feel for you. Was in San Diego last week, and drove by Hodges on Wed, to
go to lunch with friends in Escondido. Best I have ever seen the lake.
Looked like drop shotting the trees, would have been fantastic. Should have
taken the Kayak, and let the wife pick me up after the lunch get together.

Hi John...good to hear from you.
I look for your son when I am in Henry's. Just want to say hi and throw
a few fish stories around. He must work in an office there now because I
don't see him on the floor.
=======
He manages the bulk food section, so probably isn't around the front
alot...but ask for him sometime when you are in there, I know he will be
happy to take a break and talk fishing!

Hey John,
When you gonna stop by out this way and show me all the things I have been
doing wrong here on the river.
