Call me lucky but I have to deal w/ Nashville traffic weekly and

Atlanta
traffic bi-weekly.I am going to Atlanta tomorrow (Fri.) and returning

on
Sunday.I will make note of construction areas in Atlanta and post here
Sunday night.
I was in Atlanta last Saturday and they had I-75 down to one lane near
Marietta for "ongoing construction" so I sat in that for 75 minutes.I

will
let you guys know Sunday of any major problems. As far as Nashville
goes.............well we have to sit in traffic just to go pee!

I'm driving down to the Classic next week, and am wondering about
construction on the way. I hear that 75 may be bad (i don't know how

it
could be worse) near Atlanta. How about around Nashville?

Pat,

I don't think you will find any construction around Atlanta...what time of
day will you be passing through? Traffic in Atlanta is different than most
big cities...because of the law against big rigs going through town unless
they have deliveries, the back ups are outside of down town. Once you get
inside the perimeter highway, 285, you are pretty home free. The catch 22
on this is 85 and 75 merge in downtown, which makes things a little clogged
up during rush hours. If you will be traveling with a passenger I highly
suggest the HOV lanes, which are to the far left, to save you some time.

Hope this helps
