Oh, everyone had to study Buck Perry at one time or another, for he is the father of structure fishing. But No. While old Buck had a lot of great ideas, most of his methodologies don't apply to today's modern bass fishing....... Yes, many still do. My theory or ideas have come from reading what seem like a ton of research papers from several universities and fishing manufacturers R&D. As I also want to experiment with the color black. It appears to be the prime color used in research. So another thing I want to do next year is create and use all black lures (plastics, crackbaits, spinnerbaits, topwaters, jerkbaits, etc.) - everything. Makes sense since it is the only color seen in all conditions. -- Craig Baugher |
