Excellent report Dave, but are you going to mention the one that you did
hook at Brenig??????
Ouch!

er (or, ear), yes, well, ahem - ok, I hooked an ear fish. Ugly
looking customer, didn't put up that much of a fight. Unhooking was a
wee bit tricky, even though I press the barbs down on my flies. Yuk, I
should have chucked it back into the water. FOr those who are
interested, this specimen was caught on a Mallard & Claret which I will
never use again.
(sorry 'bout that Alec, I must say that you were quite restrained about
it, or is there just no feeling in that region?)

hmm, I wonder of the boss will mind me disapearing up there again this
weeknd..

cheers all

Dave

Reminds me of the standard question heard whenever a non angler turns up as
you're landing a fish...

"... did you catch that 'ere?"

Cheerio,

On Fri, 30 Jun 2006, Dave Lane, gave forth these words of wisdom:
(sorry 'bout that Alec, I must say that you were quite restrained about
it, or is there just no feeling in that region?)

Nah! Us Southern softies can take more than that!
I can assure you, Sir, that it takes more than a Mallard & Claret to
put me down.
Now...........if it were a Whitlock Sculpin , Black and Red Matuka or a
Jersey Herd then it would be another kettle of fish!
Sort the fishing out for August - we shall return!!!!
Cheers,
Alec
