and I was equally polite but firmly told them they
needed to leave the property and if they returned, they would be
considered as any other criminal trespasser.

Wow-- might as well stuck the bloody head of Santa Claus up on a pike by
your gate!!

Just kidding, Richard. I think you behaved very reasonably. Much better
than my brother did, when one guy just kept following him down the street
despite his gentle and polite protestations, until he explained just how
soon the guy would meet Jesus unless he left him alone. I laughed about
that one for days.

Interestingly, Jews don't proseletyze, but they do seek out other Jews and
try to encourage stricter observance. I've had Chabad come up to me in the
park on Saturday when I was a kid.

How's that skin treatment going Frankie?? All recovered?

Actually, all the scabs have fallen off, leaving me with bright, clear
skin. I still have to go back in a month and a half for a follow up.
I have to admit, it was the most uncomfortable medical treatment I've
ever had. Other things, like a steroid shot into the shoulder hurt
like hell for a bit. This was 3 weeks of misery. Looked pretty scary
too.
I only had to have it on for 10 days, as the doc assessed the treatment
as fully effacacious at that point. Some folks need 5 weeks of the
stuff. I couldn't imagine that without putting me in a coma for the
duration.
Short story is: wear sunscreen and broad-brimmed hats.
The other issue that I've talked upon recently is our new Cabelas.
Really nice. Smaller than other Cabellas I've been too, but nice. The
fly shop is already asking for more shelf space as they have one of the
highest sales rates in the store. Who would'a thunk it, that in the
black hole of fly fishing, the fly shop at Cabelas is going great guns.
Then again, we only had one store that sold fly fishing material and
that was only two shelves.

By the way, by day 10, a little bit of sunlight on the face felt like
an instant heavy sunburn. Don't ever want to do that again.

My dad just had a photodynamic therapy treatment a short time ago. Cool
stuff (might just have saved him from an esophagectomy--time will tell) but
it makes the sun pretty deadly for a week or two. Google up "photofrin"

WTF?

Scab_s_ falling off? "It" only on for 10 days? What in the name of
Jehovah's Witless did you do to yerself now?

TC,
R
....IAC, I think I've found a major source of potential budget
problems...Frank's VA coverage...wouldn't it just be cheaper and easier
on all to simply replace WRAMC with FRAMC, (hey, two letters - it'll be
a cheap changeover) and in their spare time, they could like, you know,
treat the entire corp of RA or something...

Had a bit of a problem with skin cancer so was on some chemotherapy
cream that was essentially like rubbing my face with acid and sand.
From my cheekbones up, I was about 80 percent scab.

Not using my VA. Got a good PPO through my company. I'll hit them up
in a few years. Don't want to shock them too quickly.

I don't know how you managed that. The last week I got at

I'm wondering if it could be because of the year I told all of them
that I vote straight Grass Roots tickets? Not true, but they're pols,
so I didn't feel bad about lying for maybe the 30th time in my life to
them.

Or maybe it's that our district and precinct weren't in much doubt?

Or because of the email I wrote to the Pawlenty campaign's web master
saying that if they didn't fix their unsubscribe web page to make it
work, I'd not only vote for the opposition but go out and actively
work against the turkey who kept sending me SPAM? I don't know if
they made the unsub page work, but I didn't get any more email SPAM
from Pawlenty. Who I happen to think is a jerk, but he won anyway.
Bah.

I know I didn't get any more Baptists (or other religions) at the old
place after some came along and asked me if I'd been saved. I reared
back a bit and told them that that was between me and God and I
figured the choice was totally up to God. Hadn't realized I even had
such a thought in my head. The younger of the pair tried to keep at
me, but I was glaring by then and the older guy led him gently away.
Very strange, as I waver between lapsed Christianity, general
agnosticism, New Age oddity, and primitive animism when I get
religious impulses. When I die, I"m basically going to be very
surprized if anything further happens to me. Other than cremation or
burial of the remains, that is.
