I had to wait to get to see the neuro-doc and then I was too far into my research methods class to back out, not that I would have anyway. My class ends Mon. at 6 PM, when I turn in my Analysis Project. I only hope I passed this class. I hate to think I put myself thru the pain of sittin' in front of a computer all thru thanksgiving, with only a short break for dinner on Thurs. Not to mention the mental anguish! It's been a while since I have taken a full blown exam, and our final was a full blown bitch! What really amazes me is that my back doesn't hurt, but my hands have fingers have swollen, become so tender that I can't even shake hands, or bump them. Unfortunately, bumping them isn't necessarily by choice :~^ ( Thanks for the thoughts, Op |

Actually, I'm hoping, beyond anything you can imagine, that luck has nothing to do with the surgery. If luck is involved, I will no have done my neuro-doctor research very well :~^ ) As far as the recovery goes, I'll need all the luck I can get! Take care, Op |

Opus wrote: We kicked the **** out of Montana and the refs. Montana could do no wrong and we must have received at least 5 unsportzman like conduct penalties? Final score 38-17. http://www.goasu.com/ Actually, no. You may have put a wooping on Montana State- but you won't see Montana for a couple of weeks. Montana has to take care of buisness with UMass before they can play with ASU. If that should come to pass, We are planning to be in Chatty on the 15th as we are going to be in Louisville for my daughter commissioning in the Army Reserve. jh |

We battle Youngstown St. this Sat. at 4:00 PM and I sure hope Catawba Valley Medical Center has ESPN, or I may have to have an ambulance transfer me to the nearest hospital with cable and ESPN! If that should come to pass, We are planning to be in Chatty on the 15th as we are going to be in Louisville for my daughter commissioning in the Army Reserve. If you are a Montana fan I wish you well against UMass. I can only hope ASU has what it take to get to Chattanooga. Congrats on your daughters Commision. Op jh |

Op Well wishes and speedy recovery on your surgery! I personally am a Montana State fan, but live in Missoula, It's pretty much impossible not to follow the Griz living here. some with sterner constitution than myself have managed. Actually, one daughter has a UM degree (my reservist) and one has an MSU degree (my nurse). and the Griz are the home town team- even if not my alma mater. My wife and I have season tickets to the Griz games. was really hoping for an all Montana championship game- don't know how i'd have cheered that one. best wishes, John. |

Your guyz put up a good fight and had many of us scared, especially, when the Bobcats towered over our little team :~^ ( Actually, one daughter has a UM degree (my reservist) and one has an MSU degree (my nurse). and the Griz are the home town team- even if not my alma mater. "daytripper" wrote in message ... So...what was Plan B? ;-) That was a pretty good game to watch, with the score close to the end. But the UMass defense was the dominant factor, and a good defense will wreak havoc on a good offense. I'll have to check the stats but I suspect UMass's offense doubled Montana's net yards. Where is the final game being played? /daytripper Chattynuga! ASU plays Youngstown St. today at 4:00 PM, and it's being broadcast on ESPN. I just got in from yesterday's surgery about 30 minutes ago. Had surgery at 11:00 AM and was released at 11:00 AM today. I'm at my home, didn't have to stay at mother's or my aunt's place, but I can't drive for a week and have to wear the neck brace for a week too :~^ ( Upside, 90 percocets! and no real pain to speak of. I already have regained the strength in my hands, arms and shoulders!! It's amazing what a little bit of back surgery can do for a fella. I'll likely go back to work after next week, but I won't do anything...nothing....NADA...zilch!!! It's so nice to feel whole again--physically that is. The doc said there is no hope for me mentally or emotionally :~^ ( Op |

In and out that quick and recovering function already, it sounds like you had a micro-laminectomy done? I've had two, and the immediate results were as profound as yours sounds. Just like flipping a switch. I'll have to Tivo today's game to see what my home boyz are gonna face. This whole playoff thing is pretty exciting - it's been 8 years since the last time they were even in the playoffs, never mind contending for the 1AA championship. And the UMA football operation usually runs a net yearly deficit of a couple of million dollars, so this adventure might help them out next year...to pry open those alumni wallets ;-) /daytripper |
