Ken, a fly rod wouldn't have made a welt on that heifer. Maybe a flippin'
stick, but a fly rod, no way. :) "Ken Fortenberry" wrote in message . .. Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers wrote: "Ken Fortenberry" wrote: Bass_Mr. wrote: I thought I'd seen it all. We declined. :) That's an interesting anecdote and it may confirm what Bob LaLonde was saying about fly fishermen missing out on a lot of the ambience of bass fishing. ;-) Yep Ken, you just don't get that waving a flyrod around now, do ya? LOL! What do you think, should I maybe give the canoe a red metal flake paint job or is it the fly rods that run off the armed, buck naked 275 pounders ? ;-) -- Ken Fortenberry |

Yeah, but do you extend your pinky when you sip your tea ? Nope, I hunker down on a rock as I wait for their to be enough light for me to safely wander out into the water and wrap both hands around the cut and folded beer can I had to use to for my coffee because I forget my darn coffee cup. Then I cuss and swear when I cut my lip on the one sharp corner that didn't get folded over properly. -- Bob La Londe www.YumaBassMan.com -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

In my state that could get those RC boaters jail time, as they would infringing on a Constitutional right for people to fish. It is a felony in Alabama to in anyway interfere with a person legally fishing We have an anti harrasment law here in Az too, but I have never even one time heard of anybody ever enforcing it. We have a number of PETA members behind bars now, for trying to scare the fish from guys in a tournament. I asked the local game Warden about that law, he told me he had made five arrest in two years on it, on four of those cases the fishermen got the numbers off the boats (or PWCs) and swore out warrants. He told me they take that law very seriously here. He also said you really need more than one witness or a good photo, or video which is much better, (which nearly all digital cameras, and many phones can now take) for a conviction. A few years back down at Gulf Shores West Pass, they nailed 4 guys for anchoring a boat in the way that blocked off about 30 beach fishermen from fishing the out going tide for red fish, these guys saw "us" catching reds on every cast, and just anchored right were the fish were holding,(they tried to fish there themselves, but instead they did a lot of lead dodging from us), they also cut every line that crossed their boat. I walked up on the street and flagged down a cop, they spent 6 months in jail over that little deal. Of course them threatening that cop I'm sure had something to do with their jail time. -- Rodney Long SpecTastic tackle company http://spectastictackle.com/ |

Oh yeah Rodney, it's the law I think pretty much across the board. Here in
Indiana though, I, as well, have never heard of anybody actually being convicted of the crime though. It's unfortunate that so many times you see things, and there's no way to get proof. Besides, with those RC boaters, I got more satisfaction then if they were jailed. That memory will last forever....
