I'm fortunate to live in one of the most scenic parts of the country, if
not the world. The fishing isn't too shabby, either. I thought that some
in ROFF might enjoy a gallery of photos.

Great photo's Steve, thanks for sharing.

I'll be spending a couple days with my cousin up at his cabin near Stanley
next weekend. Is there any fishing happening this time of year around the
area?

Thanks again,
JT

I've literally spent many months of my life within, what ? 70 miles? of
Stanley but I've never driven up there. I'll have to make the drive one of
these days.

ROFFian Roadtrip!!! Hmm, how many folks can we fit in an 800 sq ft
cabin? I sense a new clavemeister in our future.

It's pretty much over. If the weather's good you might try wetting a
line in the Main Salmon, which flows right by town, but I wouldn't
recommend it. The migratory cutthroat are out of the Middle Fork
headwaters now (my favorite fishing place around here). You could try
the Big Wood or Silver Creek, but they are 60 and 80 miles away. I like
Silver Creek this time of year. The crowds are gone.

Stop by and say hi. I'm on Niece Ave. Look for a red F150 and a big
fifth wheel on my lot.

Appreciate the info Steve,

I'm not sure what my cousin has in mind, he was talking about a road trip of
some sort to do some sight seeing.

If it works out, I would like to stop in and say hello.

Thanks,
JT

I wouldn't hold my breath. I recall just one instance of someone declaring
here that he would NEVER host a clave in his home waters.

I suppose it's sort of pretty, if you're prepared to put up with that
kind of thing. Not half as pretty, of course, as Coldharbour Lane with
the sweet November rain laying rainbow patterns on the asphalt.

Yep. The Boat Box is one of the worst-kept secrets in Idaho.
