Fishing spots in the North GA Mountains of Blue Ridge, GA
Chuck, Enjoy Umbria and Tuscany. My daughter spent 4-5 months in Florence. Managed to get around quite a bit. This area is not known for Trout, but things like Marinella, Rubinacci and Battistoni, and wine! Enjoy my friend. Sorry about the pnemonia, I would not miss that diagnosis! I charge dry flies for my patients. "Conan The Librarian" wrote in message ... The good news is that she knows how much I was looking forward to the trip, so she planned a trip for us later this year. Not to the Smokies, but to Italy (?!). We'll be heading to Tuscany and Umbria, and they have trout there too. :-) Mmmmmm.....truchas a la Parrilla! So, does anyone know what flies I should be tying for the Nera River in September? :-) To hell with fishing. Italy! Mangia! Wolfgang just don't come back with any wild crap about "authentic" italian food, o.k.? :) |

So, does anyone know what flies I should be tying for the Nera River in September? :-) To hell with fishing. Italy! Mangia! Hey, *she's* the one who brought up trout fishing in Italia. I wouldn't want to let her down. :-) From what I've read, the Nera has had big sections of "no-kill" waters (sorry, Tim) since the early 70's, and they grow some big browns there. But yes ... the food and wine will be the focus of our stay there. Wolfgang just don't come back with any wild crap about "authentic" italian food, o.k.? :) Heh, heh. Not to worry. I'm sure Richard knows more about that than even Italians do. Chuck Vance (just ask him) |
