Mottled turkey, what else can I use?
 

Try peacock wings a lot nicer than turkey for the mottling...

There are very many mottled feathers you can use, but Turkey is quite
tough, many of the other feathers are quite soft and get torn up
pretty quickly by Trout teeth.

Golden Pheasant tail is good, and you can darken it with a marker if
you want.
