Just be prepared for the worst weather of the year in
Feb/Mar. Let me know when your plans congeal.

d;o) Can't be any worse than the stuff that is now piling up in my driveway.
Is is above 40? Sounds good to me. d;o)

It will be in Feb - probably late. We plan on a three week trip visiting folks
along the way, staying about a week, and dash home (600 - 1000 miles/day).
I'll let you know when the final plans are set.

Probably not, Tom, but thank you for the kind thought. I'd like to hit the
Rapid before the hatches and try streamers and nymphs. But, who knows, I may
take a pre-clave trip to Penns. Love the place, but am very wary of the
weather ruining it.

I have it on good authority that absolutely NO sunshine will appear at Penns
2004 to ruin the otherwise perfect record. I mean what fun would it be to hear
stories about a ray of sunshine finding its way through Frank's tent?

A smattering each of old, new, borrowed and blue.

The Wisconsin Trout Opener in March, the Minnesota Trout Opener
in April, Penn's in May, the Smokies in June, bluegill close to
home in July and August, Cooke City, Montana in September and a
canoe trip in northern Ontario for October.

Good lord willin' and the crick don't rise. ;-)

My "away" trips this year will be focused on sal****er. The trip
I took down to the coast this past month re-stoked the fire that
burns within for that experience.

Locally, I plan to fish as many different small streams as
possible in the Grandfather Mountain watershed. I've kind of
gotten in a rut lately fishing the "easy" ones.... I'm gonna
return to the tight and wild streams in search of mistah brookie.
