And to all of you, the same. I might have been the first roffian to
see the new year this year: Greetings from Angkor Wat, Cambodia.

Well, at least in my thoughts......

Happy New Year, big guy.

Dave

Ah-So!

Heading to the very ends of the world next week.

Angor Wat has wireless? *Happy New Year!

Yeah, pretty weird, eh? Actually, Angor Wat only has a lot of rocks
and hawkers selling t-shirts and cold drinks...but the nearby town,
Siem Reap, has wireless for $1 an hour. And a nice boutique hotel room
with a queen sized bed, Khmer furniture and breakfast included for $8
a night.

And NO flyfishing....they keep anything that is bigger than the holes
in the seine nets for food.

angkor wat...no ****!!?? *your travels are amazing. * ...and, uh...do
you take photos? if so, can you post them for viewing?

I'll see what I can do. Over the years I have stopped taking pictures
for two reasons: the formatting seems to change so damn often that its
a hassle to keep them organized, and I find that in the long run I end
up only remembering the things in the pictures. However, as the years
go by, I find that I seem to forget pretty much ALL the details, so I
might start using some online archiving service and taking more pics.

Fortunately, SWMBO still takes pics, and a lot of folks I have
traveled with (like the gang that went to Mongolia two summers back)
have stuff. I'll make it my New Year's resolution to start a blog,
transfer pics to it, and move my writing into it also. I still get
occasional contacts from folks moving to DRC from my 'Life in Congo'
posts here on roff.

OK, stay tuned jeff...I'll let you know when I get some travel pics
organized.
