The travel budget is a non-issue, a joke and a clumsy smear attempt
perpetrated by whackjobs like you. The President of the United States
is not going to go overseas flying economy class and bedding down at
a youth hostel. It costs what it costs. And that's true no matter if
the letter after the president's name is a D or an R.

Clearly you're obsessed and deranged. Seek help.

Your Obama obsession is truly pathological. When I suggested
you seek help I was not employing a rhetorical device, I mean
it Rick, seek help you're not rational.

is costing - are you ready - $200 _million_ USD _a day_ in expenses in India
alone.

White House spokesman Matt Lehrich responded, "The numbers reported in
this article have no basis in reality. Due to security concerns, we
are unable to outline details associated with security procedures and
costs, but it's safe to say these numbers are wildly inflated."

Do you believe EVERYTHING you hear from Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck,
Drudge, and all the other crazy wingnuts?

I gotta say, though, that "well, the White House says it isn't accurate, so it
must not be accurate" doesn't sound much like "fact checking"...

And now, it appears that the number is actually not all that far off as to the
overall cost divided by the 4-5 days the Obamas will actually be there.
Moreover, it is being to appear likely that it didn't originate from an unnamed
Indian gov't official, but rather, someone in the US delegation, possibly part
of the corporate group, and was passed along by the unnamed official.

For those that don't know, but care, a fair number of US corp execs, something
like 2-300, are there or going, mostly with the corps picking up those costs.

What it (apparently) roughly calculates is the cost of the entire goofy
spectacle related to Obama, his family, staff, security staff and costs, etc.,
including the 30-plus US warships, including an aircraft carrier, the 15-20
heavy-lift cargo planes (likely more C17s, and more than the entire Special
Operations Command has - IOW, we could _invade_ India with the entire airlift
capability of the "Special Forces" of all branches of the US military forces
with less ****...), etc., etc., etc.

And further, Obama's decision to bring the wife and kids and do some sightseeing
has apparently ****ed off a fair number of Indians, including the family of
Mahatma Gandhi, because of the security requirements shutting some of the sites
down for days prior to their visit (and this after the dog incident when Bush
went...er, didn't go anywhere...).

And Ken, for someone who isn't going anywhere in November, this sure seems like
a whole bunch of logistics...I still say they could have not gone to Bethesda,
booked a coupla rooms at a Holiday Inn Express, not gone in a couple of limos,
and looked smart...very smart...

Man, I don't think he's pathological...oh, he may not always be rational, but I
think it is excessive for you to call him "pathological."

You can do better than that surely. Refresh us please. Where did he
visit? And if you know, where had he traveled out of the US BEFORE he
was President? Seems like you are full of these blind comparisons, ie
Made up Obama behaviour you repeat as per the Rightard morning message
memo, compared to jack-****, and the whole disappears in a day or two,
to be replaced by another propaganda slur a day or two later. Gets
pretty old after 9 years of the same juvenile crap.

These tactics were invented by Joseph Goebbels, and will lead to the
same bad end that all Fifth Column flirtations do. Democracy always
wins in the end.
