How to fish with lots of submerged trees
Hmmm.... incredibly good in nasty laydowns. Dang I just know I can catch fish on crankbaits...can someone tell tell the fish for me?..jeez the poconos must be rubbing off on me I just typed "Dang" "RichZ" wrote in message ... Tom Seward, the guy who designed the Timber Tiger is a friend of mine. There's probably not a better crank bait theorist in the country. The big, deep diving tiger, fished on heavy mono (like 25 lb big game) is incredibly good in nasty laydowns. RichZ© www.richz.com/fishing |

How to fish with lots of submerged trees
Some seasons, it seems like I get on a crankbait binge and catch a lot of
fish on them. Other seasons, I go for months without throwing one, much less catching a fish on one. I guess if the shad rap bite is strong in the spring, I get into crank mode. This year, I don't recall catching a fish on a shad rap. It's been all jerkbaits for me as far as hard baits are concerned. If I fish the Hudson and/or Lillinonah a lot in the summer, I use cranks a lot there. But I'm not fishing tourneys any more, and I don't go over to the Hudson much with the little boat until the fall, when I can stay in the creeks. Not sure why I haven't been to Lilli yet this year. Oh yeah... Champlain. That's why. RichZ© www.richz.com/fishing |

QUOTE: From: (Eric) I bought a trolling motor for my inflation boat and a Humminbird Smartcast fish finder and went out fishing for the first time over the July 4 weekend. :QUOTE Eric how do you like the Smartcast? The MCSport store near me has them on sale for $99 I was thinking about giving it a try. I like it very much. The info it gives is so rich (beyond imagination as a shore fishman.) It make me wonder why I waste so much time shore fishing for nothing (since nothing is there). Eric. |
