I do exactly the same altough -and it is allegedly an error, I often tend
to keep normal trouser underneath in normal to warm weather - and in winter wears even both on top of one another underneath waders i.e. the typical breathable skin layer and on top Sims fleece bibs. They are a cottom weave, but the wide mesh doesn't trap much air so they stay very cool. (When they are put under polypro, they become huge air traps and very warm, but without a covering layer, they are quite cool.) Check out: http://www.abcunderwear.com/menfisblacpa.html for something similar. It's a bad idea to wear cotton anything under waders. If you take a soaking they'll take forever to dry. In warm water I wear a pair of nylon "shell" pants. In somewhat colder water I add a pair of fleece pants. In really cold water I add a pair of thermal underwear. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |

Just make sure you have a clean pair in case you have to go to the
hospital... john "Jarmo Hurri" wrote in message ... Sorry, no photos in abpf. Can anyone recommend some good underwear for breathables for warm weather? I bought Vision Coolmax underwear for this purpose last year, but I think they should rename them as Hotmax. Worse than any ordinary underwear I've had. I've also heard that there are some materials that repel dirt (in this case I guess dirt=sweat). That would be a nice bonus for those long hike-in fishing trips. -- Jarmo Hurri Commercial email countermeasures included in header email address. Dave Simms (powder dry?? or something like that. I have both bottoms Dave and tops and it beats the old polypropolene hands down). That would then be "Simms Waderwick", I guess. I'll check these out, thanks for the tip. -- Jarmo Hurri Commercial email countermeasures included in header email address. Remove all garbage from header email address when replying, or just use . |

riverman Hmm, I'd think the idea of wearing breathables in warmer riverman weather is either because: riverman a) the water is too warm for the usual undergarments, in riverman which I'd suggest wet wading, or riverman b) you want to keep your clothes dry, in which case I'd riverman suggest just putting the waders over them, or taking them riverman off and wet wading, or riverman c) the water is cold, but the air is warm so getting in and riverman out makes you clammy. Mostly c, sometimes also b. riverman If that's the case, then maybe some of those really wide riverman mesh (almost fishnet) underwear that ski bums but under riverman their polypro? They are a cottom weave, but the wide mesh riverman doesn't trap much air so they stay very cool. (When they are riverman put under polypro, they become huge air traps and very warm, riverman but without a covering layer, they are quite cool.) Check riverman out: http://www.abcunderwear.com/menfisblacpa.html for riverman something similar. We've seen a variety of humorous underwear in our fishing trips during the year. That piece of clothing would make a nice contribution. I don't know what the chances are that I will find one of those in our neck of woods, but I'll try. -- Jarmo Hurri Commercial email countermeasures included in header email address. hey Jarmo,
Had Roger on the phone yesterday. Water very high at the moment and expected to be around 10C when we are there. Bought a spare Helly Hansen base layer today. that is one per week now: luxury! Still, if the sun is not out, might need to put the fleece bibs on top of the base layer underneath my sexy waders! Tightlines Jerome Jarmo Hurri wrote in message ... Sorry, no photos in abpf.
