Powell rods suck!! They were made in the USA by the powells, and sold
to fly shops. Now Powell advertises them as "just like the old Powells,
but half the price because we cut out the middle man. They kept the
warranty price at built in the USA. What they leave out is that they
are made in Korea. So they are basically TFO but twice as much with a
warranty fee that is twice as much. Very dishonest. And why by from a
company whose owner looks like a nascar driver (nascar suit with a bunch
of bass patches on it) than a fly fisherman?

Now if you are talking about a made in the USA rod from one of the
Powells, those are bitching.

Lets restrict ourselves to trashing each other's politics.

Second point: If I am not mistaken, a Whig at the time of the
Revolution was primarily identified with opposition to absolute
monarchy, and pro constitutional protections. Were not many of the
founding fathers Whigs? So why would I be particularly bothered by
someones Whiggish ideas?
