Question about loop leaders?

As Willi said, the circus has left town for the most part, and there's plenty of places on the river that aren't like the Kiddie Hole. Hook a fish deep in the main channel, and they'll fight. Jon. I won't be in the Homeland this January, but I'll recant my 'never again' statement. I'd go in a hearbeat to fish with any of you guys, and I'd even go if I really needed a 'fix' and there wasn't anything closer to home available. But it'd never be home water; its just not the type of fishing I like. In fact, its exactly why I stopped commercial raft guiding: I preferred the rule-less solitude of wilderness floating. --riverman |

"Willi & Sue" wrote That brings us to the present where fishermen, even novices, are able to consistently take fish on some of our tailwaters using a variety of techniques while fishing flies as small as a size 28. (I've had people claim that they use even smaller flies, but I've never come across anyone with one on their leader. Bruce?) On some tailwaters a size 22 and 24 fly is standard fare. so, willi, what do you think about the use of 20+ size nymphs in freestone streams from 20 to 50 feet wide? That's 20-, you innoomerate appaloochian buffoon. g JR |

Andy Kim guarantees at least 24 fish on a full day guided trip on the Juan or your money back. I fished with Andy Kim's winter time surrogate the "Camo Man" and I assure you if I had wanted to stand there and catch battered fish after battered fish I could easily have caught a hundred fish, not different fish mind you, more like the same ten, ten times each, but a hundred fish in the course of an 8 hour day. Like Myron said upon observing the newbies, it's a rare drift that doesn't result in a hookup. Me and El Paso Bob cut the Camo Man loose around one in the afternoon and left the Kiddie Hole to Blackcat and his buddies while we went off to toss dry flies. -- Ken Fortenberry |

We don't need no contracts - we just shake hands and whip the welsher's ass..." Informationally, R |
