Andy Kim guarantees at least 24 fish on a full day guided trip
on the Juan or your money back.

Not any more, and his guarantee was 24 hookups - which included
hooking the bottom. According to a guy at a fly shop on the SJ a
couple of Texans called him on the guarantee and wanted their money
back. When he refused they roughed him up and he later took the sign
off his truck. g

Well, there are a couple of sayings in Texas (one of which wayno is
surprisingly but apparently familiar...) that seem apropos: "If yer
gonna whine about the horns, don't mess with the bull..." and
"Contracts? We don't need no contracts - we just shake hands and
whip the welsher's ass..."

That's "welcher", you illiterate tejan buffoon. :)

Texans, that figures. Hell, you couldn't teach a Texan how to pour
**** out of a boot if you printed the instructions on the heel, so
how you gonna teach 'em to catch trout with micro-nymphs.

You creatively edited out the part where I said Andy Kim claimed any *hookup*
was a fish, including snags on the bottom. My guess is that Andy figured most
anglers there couldn't tell the difference between the bottom and a fish.
Maybe you can't, but the Texans could.

I edited that out becuase I don't believe it's true. I was guided by
an Andy Kim protege, no particular number of fish was guaranteed but
anyone who couldn't catch at least 24 fish using their flies and their
methods on the San Juan is bogus and isn't angling for trout as much
as they're angling for a free fishing lesson.

You said you didn't fish with Andy, so how would you know what he promised?
I'll take the word of an actual SJ 'local' over you any day, anyway. This web
site http://www.cvff.org/sanjuan.htm mentions the 24 fish/day as well, FWIW.
